Mt. Everest base camp via Gokyo valley trek is one of the most thrilling and famous trek set amongst breath taking high mountain scenery through Khumbu region. Nepal is gifted with spectacular Mountains with eight of the world’s fourteen highest peaks. Trekking in the Everest area is an awesome experience enjoying Himalaya scenes, watching various kinds of herbal species along flora and fauna. It provides the opportunity to trek less frequented routes.

We take a half hour flight from Kathmandu to Lukla follow the Dudh Koshi to Namche Bazar to Gokyo village to Mt. Everest Base Camp via Chola pass. Throughout the trek one will be enjoying Sherpa villages, homes and monasteries, culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life. Unique species as Red Panda, Snow Leopard and Musk Deer may be viewed while trekking. Crossing the Cho la pass will make the trek more interesting which will challenge you. This is a high altitude trek with considerable time sleeping at high altitudes. After trekking Gokyo and Everest base camp we return back to Namche Bazar and then continuing down to Lukla. Be consider that Lukla to Kathmandu flight may delay or cancel frequent due to weather condition as take some extra days as an optional.

First day (01): Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Welcome to Nepal. You will be landed on Tribhuwan International Airport or any bus station. You will be meeting by our representatives and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. You may refresh yourself and in the evening you will be brought at our office for pre- briefing about the program. Then after you will be served special and delicious dinner in one of the traditional restaurant and the overnight stay will be in hotel. (Welcome dinner & requested categories hotel accommodation included)

Second day (02): Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley
After having breakfast and refreshment, around 9.00 am, you will be taken to visit inside Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu has more World Heritage sites than any other city in the world. The guide will escort you on a tour of Hindus Holy temple Pashupatinath, Buddhist Stupa Bouddhanath and Bhaktapur. There is time to explore the city’s many places of interest on your own or take a rest while permits are finalized. It takes around 6-7 hrs for full day sightseeing. In the evening a sample of traditional delicious Nepali dinner will provided and overnight stay in hotel.

Third day (03): Fly to Lukla &trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)
In the morning you will be transferred to Domestic Airport to fly Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) which will take around 35 minutes. Then you will have to breakfast and your baggage are carried by porter. The trek starts with beautiful view of Numbur Himal and Phari. We will be moving on to Phakding village crossing some Sherpa villages. After some ups from Thado Koshi to follow Dudh Koshi, we will have some lunch. The view of Kusum-Kangaru will fascinate you. After crossing a short suspension bridge Ghat village and Phakding village will welcoming you. The old monasteries beautiful view of valleys and mountains can be enjoyed. Before evening you may interest to visit Monastery and hidden village to walk about one hour hiking and overnight at teahouse.

Fourth day (04): Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,283ft)
From Phakding we follow the Valley of Dudh Koshi River with few short uphill and down hills re-crossing same river again. From Benkar village the trail continues alongside river. The part of this trail has magnificent forest of Pine, Magnolia and rhododendron. Then we will in to Sagarmatha National Park where trekking permit will be checked for record. Dudh Koshi River, after the bridge Jorsalle village is reached, the last village till Namche Bazaar, and again walks until last bridge over Imjatse River and final walk to Namche Bazaar. This Bazaar is the main trading center in the region and features numerous shops, hotels and restaurants. The peaks like Kwangde, Tawache can be enjoyed on the way.

Fifth day (05): Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar
Acclimatization is important before proceeding higher. Today is the free day your choice to do either to rest or to stroll around. If luckily you are on Saturday then this is the market day for local people and you can enjoy the local views of shopping. You can explore Sherpa museum to learn Sherpa culture and about mountaineering or visit up to Everest view point then evening dinner and preparation for tomorrow journey and overnight stay.

Sixth day (06): Trek to Dole (4,200m/13,776ft)
The trail leads down through rhododendron forest toward giant rock wall on the north side of the valley. After 2 hrs walk to small place Shanasa, we will continue to left side of Mongla hill and continue down to Phortse Thanga. We will be taking lunch here. A stiff but attractive climb leads to Dole which is a small place with few teahouse and enjoy the night. It will take 5 hrs walk during whole day.

Seventh day (07): Trek to Machharmo (4,470m/14,663ft)
From Dole we climb steadily along the side of the valley, rhododendron forest giving way to scrub juniper as altitude increases. You will cross few teahouse, the trail ascend one hour to top hill crossing sandy spurs to reach Machharmo at 4,410m.This is the place, where it was reported that Yeti was first time seen in 1974. Machharmo has some incredible views and also it has worthy to visit Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) and overnight stay at hotel.

Eighth day (08): Trek to Gokyo (4,800m/15,744ft)
The trails climb the ridge of the valley excellent view of Khangtega and northern part to the Cho-Oyu. We descend to the river bank before beginning the climb of Ngazumpa Glacier. We ascend of hard cross the bridge over stream which is flown from Gokyo Lake which is the first lake. The trail continues up to second lake, Taujun Lake. Then finally Gyoko village appear on the edge of third lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be in comfortable teahouse.

Ninth day (09): Explore day to Gokyo
Today is the exploring day mean free day. The view around Gokyo is itself is marvelous, for the very best panorama take a walk around Gokyo. Great view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Cho-oyu with a lake view from fifth lake is extra ordinary. At northern part biggest glaciers can be seen. You will eat dinner and overnight stay in teahouse near third Lake.

Tenth day (10): Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,330m) and trek to Thaknak (4,750m)
Today the trek goes to Gokyo ri for the stunning mountain views which will make you surprised. It will take around 3 hrs to reach Gokyo Ri and you will experience unforgettable moment and enjoy around the top. The view from the top is stunning with the west ridge and south west face of Everest. Back to Gokyo for breakfast and trek moves again to Thaknak for the overnight stay through second lake and walk on the longest glacier called Nazumpa glacier.

Eleventh day (11): Trek to Cho La Pass (5,367m) to Dzongla (4,850m)
The Cho La Pass is tough to cross and should walk on the high passes. The walk climbs steadily for Cho-La Pass for few hours. After crossing pass Dzongla will be reached for overnight stay at teahouse. Today the total walk will be of 8 hrs so you will have to rest at night for tomorrow walk again. You can enjoy the fantastic views of both side from the high pass.

Twelve day (12): Trek to Gorakshep (5,160m/16,929ft)
The trek will continue today viewing Kalapathar and Pumori before reaching at Lobuche for lunch. The walk is gradual up the valley at the end of the grassy field. The more walk follows the rocky moraine path and after last rocky path a short downhill brings you Gorakshep. It has some tea house. You will have dinner and overnight stay at teahouse.

Thirteenth day (13): Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,360m)
After having breakfast the interesting trek begins toward Everest Base Camp, foot of the world highest peak and Khumbu Ice fall. The dramatic landscape around you changes as you continue to climb higher and higher. The temperature will be dropping and you will be walking among frozen river and in an icy wilderness. Follow your lead Sherpa because you may mislead the way. It will take around 3 hrs to reach Base camp. At the Mount Everest base camp stand face to face with the fabled Khumbu Ice fall and its towering sears. Capturing the beauty of Himalayas we will be back to Gorakshep at teahouse for overnight stay.

Fourteenth day (14): Kalapathar (5,550m) hike and back to Dingboche (4,358m)
Our journey begins with morning glory to Kala Pathar following steep climbing until 2 hrs. The top of Kalapathar will force you to forget every pain and physical problem. It is a small rocky peak situated in the southwest of Mt. Pumori. One can experience marvelous landscape and intriguing the culture of the mountain region during this trek. This trek is total mountain adventure journey to roof of the world, opportunities for outstanding photographic and many encounter of typical culture in highland. Feeling relaxed we have to be back to Dingboche leaving Gorakshep for overnight stay at teahouse after nearly seven hrs walk.

Fifteenth day (15): Trek to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft)
Today the walk will be easy going downhill from Dingboche to Tengboche. Crossing Dingboche the bridge, stream towards Pangboche village the destination of Tyangboche arrives. The village has huge monastery/Gompa for Buddhism. Beautiful shaped teahouse, hotel and lodges, field with campsites will force you to enjoy the views. You will find yourself all around Himalayas like Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse toward north east and more peaks all around you.

Sixteen day (16): Trek to Namche
The trek will go down to Phungithanka where couple of teahouse is located. The trail passes across patches of forest, up and down slopes and over log bridges. The village is set on the slopes of horseshoe shaped valley. First view of Everest can be viewed after final steep climb. It will take around 5 hrs walk to reach Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.

Seventeenth day (17): Trek to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft)
This is the last trip of whole tour. We will be go long way before bridge crossing and again walk to Phakding for lunch. The way will fascinate you and give memory of your trip. Small villages, local Sherpa’s, mountains, greenery will attract you. Arriving at Lukla guide will confirm related things like flight ticket, stuff. You can view final look of Lukla and celebrate the last dinner with all the related member of the trip and stay overnight to the hotel.

Eighteenth day (18): Fly back to Kathmandu
Mostly the fight will be in the morning because of windy weather the afternoon. The flight schedule may change according to weather. After landing in Kathmandu guide will take you back in hotel. It is time to have fun and rest you after long tired journey.

Nineteenth day (19): Leisure at Kathmandu
This day makes you assure that everything is on right track means the less chance of missing flight or delaying flight. You can go through Kathmandu Valley for Shopping, watching the tradition and culture of Local Nepalese. The final dinner at hotel and stay overnight will finish your Nepal visit.

Twentieth day (20): Departure from Kathmandu
Last day of Nepal visit. Gift and Nepalese item to relatives, friends and family can be purchased. You will be getting reached to Airport for final departure. If you feel satisfied with our travel agent you can make sure for next trip and say Good Bye to Nepal.
